Once I got my dough perfected I found it pretty quick and easy to use
This pasta press works very well. No quality issues so far.; a fairly robust attachment. Once I got my dough perfected I found it pretty quick and easy to use. I don't buy dry pasta anymore, always make my own. It's not that difficult. The most important aspect of making the dough is to not make it too moist. It must feel a bit on the dry side. It took a bit of practice for me.

KitchenAid Pasta Press
I am very happy with my Pasta Press attachment so far. I've used it to make macaroni and fusilli. My first attempt at macaroni was thwarted by a wet dough but my second came out quite well. The fusilli was an even bigger success as I was getting a feel for how the mechanics worked. You have to let the machine do its work and not rush it. Use the dough pusher - it's an invaluable tool Make sure your dough is a balance between not too wet and not too dry. I know this is a confusing tip. It is something that is going to come with experience; both pasta making experience and experience with the attachment. Have patience. I know I basically said that above but it's important.

Ahh stop procrastinating just get it already
Yes, it’s kind of a pain to clean, but I don’t mind. I used it once so far for spaghetti and the pasta was delicious. I did make the recipe in the manual and I think it was too dry. I need to use it a few more times to get a good handle on what the consistency should be as if it’s too dry it’s a lot harder to push it through the machine. Very excited to continue using it!!! Oh and one tip- when boiling the pasta keep an eye on it. It boils over soooo much more than boxed pasta. Holy mess!!!

OUTSTANDING!!!!
Wow! This attachment is FANTASTIC! I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews and hoped I hadn't made a mistake getting it. I had no issues at all. The spaghetti I made with all semolina flour and rigatoni with plain old white flour. Both came out terrific. The rigatoni cut perfectly with both ends open, not stuck together as some have stated. The only thing with the spaghetti is to make sure you dust the pasta with flour as it extrudes or you make find it will stick together. With the rigatoni I had those drop right into a bowl dusted with flour. This was a fun day and can't wait to try the other attachments. Bucatini is a favorite!!!! Give this a try, be patient and you won't be disappointed.

This is a great attachment for that
We have just started making our own pasta. We have a regular Pasta Maker, but wanted to start making noodles. This is a great attachment for that. We tried the Rigatoni and it worked great. It does come out slowly, so don't try to speed up the process unless you want to wear out your motor. My machine is close to 16 years old but still ran it great. I recommend this for anyone who wants to make their own pastas.

Tips and tricks for using this product
I have to say I was extremely excited to receive this product as I got the kitchen aid mixer Early for Christmas, this attachment is amazing takes making pasta to another level. Tips and tricks Don't use alot of water in dough recipe or try not to use any I used this recipe 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon salt 3 eggs Mix all ingredients in your kitchenaid bowl with a fork till egg is mixed enough to use your hands, not do will be flakey and it will be hard to get everything to stick together but do not add anything else knead as much as you can the place your dough hook on and turn it into setting 2-4 and let it knead for 10 Minutes checking it to makes sure it's actually turning every 2-3 minutes, let rest in plastic wrap or zip lock bag in fridge for 40 minutes ( I skipped this step) but it didn't effect my pasta. The dough turned out between soft but more dry which I found is the only way to make pasta with this attachment without it coming out and all the pasta sticking together. Cut dough up and roll into walnut size balls cover with damp towel You will love this product!!!!!!!!

Now that I have purchased one for her it seems like I use it more than her
My wife has wanted one of these for years. Now that I have purchased one for her it seems like I use it more than her. The attachments are amazing and easy to use but on the pricey side. I would say in this case you get what you pay for and this is definitely a quality product.

Outstanding Results
My first batch of fusilli was perfect! I used 1 cp Semolina Flour+2 cp APF=+3 eggs and about 1/4 cup water to make a pasta dough a bit on the dryer side than for a roller dough. Everything worked easily and efficiently. I suggest everyone having issues with the dough, download the manual and seek out any of the tips offered online. Yes, cleaning the disk was not as quick as I I had hoped, but since the results were so fabulous, I do not count this against the overall experience. I have now added extruded pasta to my culinary achievements. Enjoy! Ciao!

Worth every penny.
Super easy to use, fun, and well made. Exactly what I expected and working well. A little bit of bearing grease seeps from the back when you pull it out but it's always after you finish cooking and thus not near food so not a problem. Totally would buy again, worth it.

So much fun!
This a very fun culinary project! My only negative would be with the recipe in the instruction booklet, I need almost 3x the water to get a very dry dough. The dough worked ok as you can see in the photos. In KitchenAid's advertising the tell you their many recipes on their webpage, but I only found the one dough recipe that was the same as the one in the booklet. One might think they would have several recipes for doughs with spinach. beets, tomato, even squid ink. You will also see that it is recommended that you run 2 batches of dough at one time, you have to let the mixer cool off of 30 mins before you can start another batch. I think all the KA mixers are not designed to run for long periods of time. All that said, the hardware is well made and the results are good. Note that the speed of the extruding pasta is VERY slow, so plan on spending some time doing the forming and cutting process. Have fun and enjoy this attachment. Update: I found that an air gun is a great fast way to clean out the dough from the dies.
